Hi all,
I have to say that I was a member of Rutherford college but lived in
Keynes. The college system did nothing much really as we attended events
in all colleges and I had friends in every single college. However,
although I was a member of Rutherford college, I felt much more part of
Keynes. I couldn't really understand that when I was moved into Keynes,
I wasn't made part of that college as this would have made more sense.

Did you also go to the ents that were put on in the JCRC common room?
If you lived in college do you remember any JCRC members coming round to
say
hello during the first couple of weeks?
Did you ever use the new Student's Building?
What about the porters?
I guess a lot of the work we (the JCRC and SU) did went un-noticed by
the
general student populous, but we did try to foster a feeling of
belonging.
Obviously I am in favour of the collegiate system, not for any snobby
reason, but simply because I felt it actually made socialising easy and
encouraged a healthy competition between colleges.
Stuart.
