RE: [kent-grads] Any university's collegiate system fading?

I too found the love of my life at UKC

After being "thrown out of" Cambridge at the end of my second year, my
Dad got a friend on the staff at UKC to talk to the Maths department for
me, and arranged an interview.

I got in, and was assigned to Darwin and (as I suspected would happen)
had to repeat the second year.

In my third year, I was visiting a friend in Rutherford that I had met
through the RPG club, and a friend of hers popped in to borrow some
lecture notes. The rest, as they say, is history. Carole (née
Scarborough, R, M, 84-87) and I have been married for 16 deliriously
happy years.

Having been at two Universities that use the collegiate system, and
having two brothers who went to a University that didn't, I have to say
that I think it is the right way for a University of UKC's size or
larger to go. I'd be hard pressed to coherently explain why, but I think
it has something to do with dividing the non-academic side of the
experience down into manageable chunks.
